About the Recipe
This easy quiche is great for lunches and supper. It can be stored in the fridge and reheats well.
Ingredients
7 eggs
2/3 cup of milk
1/2 cup of shredded cheese
1 frozen deep dish pie shell
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp parsley
1/8 tsp white pepper
1/4 tsp salt
optional: 1/4 cup ham or bacon, 1/4 cup frozen chopped spinached (thawed and drained), 1/4 cup cooked mushrooms, peppers, onions or tomatoes.
Preparation
Step 1
Take out frozen pie shell, leaving it in it's foil pie plate. Place it on a parchement lined cookie sheet. This will protect the oven from any spill over. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Step 2
Crack eggs and add to a large mixing bowl with milk and spices. Beat at med speed with electric mixer for 2 mins. Mixture should be light and foamy with no egg yokes left whole.
Step 3
Add cheese and any other extra ingredients to the bottom of the thawed pie shell. Carefully pour in egg mixture, do not over fill.
Step 4
Bake for 30-40 mins until the center of the quiche is set. Let stand 10 mins before slicing to serve.
